Question

I keep trying to revise and update an invoice and it keeps telling me "an error has occurred" and won't save the revised invoice. Anyone have a fix?

Let me help you fix this error message, @BillyPhoto. Accessing your account through an incognito mode will help rule out any potential webpage issues when saving your revised invoice in QuickBooks.

Here are the shortcut keys in various supported browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once there, please log into your QuickBooks account and check if this resolves the error message while saving your edited invoice. If it does, clearing your regular browser's cache will help the program run smoothly and eliminate technical issues. You can also use other devices and supported browsers as alternatives.

@mv32  Yes, always be sure to blame the browser for QuickBooks' issues.
