Hello there, Aisha. I'm here to help you fix your company information in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to make sure it matches the IRS records, and your 1099 forms will be accepted.

The most common reasons for 1099 filing rejection are the following:

  • Your company's legal name, EIN, or SSN doesn’t match IRS records exactly.
  • The contractor's address(es) don't match IRS records. The most common reason for this is an incomplete ZIP code, wrong state, or a non-US address.

Based on your scenario, it seems that you have incorrect details for your company, which is why the 1099 forms were rejected. That said, you can simply go to the Contractors tab and select Prepare 1099. Then, click the Edit ✎ button to update it to ensure it matches the IRS records.

Furthermore, make sure to void the rejected 1099 forms before e-filing them again. Here's an article for the step-by-step process of resolving this issue: Fix rejected 1099 forms.

In case you need help with how to e-file your forms as well as a guide on how to check the filing status, refer to these articles for your reference:
