Hello there, @dcrumpler1996.

Thanks for coming to that Community for your concern. I'm here to help you update your contact information to make sure you can log in to your account.

Aside from the Get a code texted to: (number), you have an option to resend the code through your email. You'll want to choose the Get a code emailed to: (email address) instead. That way, you can log in to your account.

To update your phone number on file, let's login to https://accounts.intuit.com/, then follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Sign In & Security section.
  2. Click the Verify link beside the Phone number.
  3. Click the Change link beside the phone number.
  4. Update your phone number, then enter your Password in the field.
  5. Click Save when done.

Here's an article for your future reference: Change your email, user ID, or password for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Self-Employed. It helps you learn about updating your account from Intuit Manager and recovering your user ID or password.

Come back to me at any time if you need more help, @dcrumpler1996. The Community Team is always around here to back you up.

Hello,

I can't access my account. I recently changed my phone number & can't receive the text verification code with my new phone number. I don't seem to have the option to receive the code by email. Please help.

Thanks,

I appreciate your for sharing the details with me, @rochelle11 A.

Rest assured I’m here to help you access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Let’s perform some steps to isolate this issue. I recommend using a private window (incognito) and see if you have the Get a code email to option. This way, we can check if this issue is caused by cache.

The browser saves data cache for you to access the page faster. When this gets outdated, it causes an issue that can affect your QBO experience. Using a private window is the easiest way to confirm this as this not saves cache. To begin, here are the keyboard shortcut keys you can use depending on the browser you’re using:

  • For Google Chrome browser, press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For the Mozilla Firefox browser, press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • And lastly for Safari browser, press keys: Command + Option + P

if you’re able to see the Get a code email to option via a private window, I recommend clearing your browser's cache. This will delete all data save from your browser and makes it function efficiently. If you’re unable to see the email option, try using other supported browsers. That way, we can see and check if this is a browser-integrated issue.

If the issue persists after going through the steps above, I suggest contacting our support team. They have the necessary tools to look into your account securely and assist you further in accessing it.

You can use our QBO Test drive account and click the (?) Help icon to reach out to them.

Once you’re able to access your QBO, you might want to check these links for future guidance. These can guide you on managing your account seamlessly:

If there’s anything else I can be of an assistant, tag me in your reply. I’ll be around ready to back you up. Keep safe and stay healthy.

I have had the SAME Problem for over two years since payroll records became workforce.  The phone number Intuit has is incorrect.  I have tried recovering my account, spent hours trying to get SOMEONE to fix it, but there does not seem to be ANYONE who can help with this issue. I was sent a new link from the company paying me but it still requires the phone number which is incorrect. SOMEONE needs to fix this.
