Question

I need to transfer a Quick Books Easy Start account to someone new. If I change the billing, sign in, and profile info to them, will this grant them ownership?

I will no longer be working for the company and they will need the QuickBooks Easy Start account that I have been using to manage their books. The new administrator will be the business owner. They will need the easiest and most user friendly solution if possible. Thank you in advance.

QBO Easy Start only uses one email address and you will need to contact Support to change the email address. I would recommend upgrading your account to Essentials and transferring the Primary Admin role to the business owner. They can downgrade the plan back to Easy Start later.

When upgrading your account, it's important to keep in mind that subscription rates are prorated.  By doing so, your payment method will be charged accordingly.  I recommend following this link, to submit a Request to be the primary admin or contact.
