I receive error message 9269905 when trying to reactivate an employee?

When trying to reactivate an employee I receive error message 9269905.  Is there any way around this without contacting support, which is closed today.

Hi there, @bneitzel-allhs-n.

 

It is possible browser issue might have cause this error message 9269905 when reactivating an employee. I'll share the steps on that can resolve some of the most common browser issues in QBO. 

 

Use a different browser or switching to an incognito/private browsing session? Use these keyboard shortcuts to switch to incognito mode:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
  • Control + Option +P if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Microsoft Edge

 

After that, check if can see the Pencil icon as shown in the screenshots above. If you're able to do it, delete your browsing history by following the steps in this article: Clear Cache and Cookies to Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.

Hi,

Thank you for your help but unfortunately, I still have the notification after trying each step with all the different browsers.  I actually receive a red triangle with an explanation symbol in the middle along with the numbers 9269905.  I even receive it when trying to update an employee's address, or when i try to make any changes to an employee's files.  It has been going on for months with no resolution besides calling to have a QuickBooks expert fix it.

  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Choose either tab to get started:

  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
