Question

I tried to disconnect Amex credit card account, got an error message "There was a problem saving your changes. Please try again later." What should I do to disconnect?

I've tried later, still got the same error message. I used to be able to edit Amex online link. I think it is related to Amex delegate link.

Let me assist you in disconnecting your AMEX credit card account from QuickBooks Online. You'll need to check the bank website to see if there are problems with your account. If there are none, let's try disconnecting it in an incognito or private-mode browser. Here are the keyboard shortcuts to go to Incognito or InPrivate Mode in your browser:

 

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

 

If the problem persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks support team so they can disconnect it manually.

I tried to disconnect through incognito, still got the same error. I will contact service team. Thank you.
