Question

I’ve been waiting since April 2 for a response to my app support email. What should I do?

So the QB Self-Employed all has been giving me issues with mileage tracking for a while now. I no longer get the notifications that ask “was this a work trip” and the app is also constantly auto signing me out (which means my miles don’t get tracked). I’ve tried everything I could think of: deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, rebooted my phone, changed my notification settings—nada.

I submitted a support request through the app’s email form. My email was sent to [email address removed]

I sent the email on April 2 of this year. I have tried to follow up multiple times and gotten no response. I have even called Intuit and the support person told me they’ll “get back to you in 1-2 days.” That was a couple of months ago.

What do I need to do to get help with this issue? I guess Intuit doesn’t want to support customers who use the Self-Employed product anymore. It’s really awful being an intuit user sometimes. I’m sure many of you know what I mean.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks.

I appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting and bringing this matter to our attention, Le006. I have some information to help you fix this matter and use the mileage-tracking feature in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Since you've already performed the necessary troubleshooting process, let's now check if you have the updated version of the QBSE app. Updating will provide a smoother experience, help avoid problems due to bugs, and have feature enhancements.

Kindly follow these steps:

For iOS:

  1. Go to the App Store, then select the Today tab.
  2. From the Today tab, click your profile.
  3. Within the Available Updates section, find the QBSE app, then tap Update.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Google Play store, then click Menu.
  2. Click My apps & games.
  3. From the Updates tab, find and click the QBSE app. If you're unable to see the QBSE app, your app is already updated.
  4. Click Update.

Additionally, since you mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling the app, you can redownload it from your App Store or Google Play account history.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed support again so they can check the root cause of this concern by utilizing their tools.

Furthermore, you can change or manually add your past trip by viewing this article: Edit or add trips manually in the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.

I'm all ears if you want to share further updates. I'm still here to provide some assistance regarding mileage tracking.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I have ensured that the app is up to date. And I have spoken with the support team on the phone, but they told me to wait for the app development support team to get back to me. I have emailed them three times over the course of a few months. But have not heard back. How should I proceed?

The email I have for them is [Removed]
