If i own 2 companies and 1 of them pays a lawyer fee for the other.. which company files the 1099-NEC?

Let me share information about 1099-NEC in QuickBooks Online.

It is a requirement by U.S. tax law to file a 1099 for anyone you paid $600 or more in the previous year. Therefore, the company who has the expense transaction should be the one to file the 1099-NEC. Please know that the deadline for 1099-NEC is on January 31.
