Let me share some information about printing 1096 forms, paul-marshallsal.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Contractor Payments don't provide Form 1096. Form 1096 isn't required by the IRS if you are filing electronically. For more information about this one, check out these links:

To get the same info, you can view a summary of your e-filed 1099s from the 1099s filings tab.

QuickBooks Online:

1. Go to Taxes then select 1099 filings.
2. Select View summary.

QuickBooks Contractor Payments:

1. Go to 1099 filings.
2. Select View summary.

You can also reprint your 1096 tax forms after going through the manual process of printing and filing the 1099 tax forms in QuickBooks Online. Let me show you how to prepare and print them.

1. Go to the Expenses menu.
2. Select Vendors.
3. Click Prepare 1099s.
4. Enter all information correctly for the tax year, then click Next until the Review page.
5. Click the Finish preparing 1099s button.
6. Select the Print and mail button.
7. Choose the 1096 form, then click Yes, looks good!
8. Select the type of 1096 form you want to print.
9. Click Print on a 1096 Form and then Print.
