I would like to find instructions for migrating QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2021 Version V20.0.14 R5 data to Quicken Classic Business & Personal Version 7.10.1 (Build 710.55389.100) macOS 14.7.

I found this page:

"Convert from QuickBooks Desktop to Quicken"

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/convert-quickbooks-desktop-quicken/L6oxT5PcN_US_en_US?uid=m4a6ta9b

… but the steps don't match the QuickBooks interface I have.

Please delete my post and my reply. I reposted the same information after attempting to submit the post, but never got any reply from the system, and I thought it was unsucessful.

Hello there, bobqkbx. I'm here to provide details about the article you found and migrating from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac to Quicken Classic Business & Personal.

Firstly, it's important to note that the article you referenced is tailored specifically for QBDT for Windows. This explains why the steps don't align perfectly with those for QBDT for Mac. Although the two platforms are different, the principles in the article can still be applied to QBDT for Mac with some minor modifications.

Please follow the steps below about exporting your Chart of Accounts and Vendor list:

  1. Sign in to your company file as an admin.
  2. Go to File and select Export.
  3. Select Lists to IIF File, then choose the list you want to export.
  4. Click OK and enter a name for your IIF file.
  5. In the Where dropdown, choose a location to save your IIF file into, then select Save.

Please refer to this article for more details: Export, import, and edit IIF files.

Then, follow the necessary steps below for the next process:

  1. Open the exported IIF file in Excel, and if possible, save it as a .QIF file.
  2. If Excel does not offer this option on your end, consider using a third-party conversion tool to convert the file to .QIF format.
  3. Import the file into Quicken.

Moreover, please consider contacting our support team for further assistance with the migration process. They're well-equipped to guide you through the transition process smoothly.

Regarding the removal of your other post, one of our moderators will take care of archiving it for you.

(I just created a reply to your reply, clicked Post, then was asked to confirm my identity by 2FA, which I did, but after submitting the code, I was returned to this page with my reply deleted, so I am starting over.)

Thank you for your quick reply, and confirming the page I found was for the Windows version.

I was able to complete steps 1–5. In step 3, I don't know which lists I will need, so I chose all lists.

I don't see any additional steps in your reply after you wrote: "Then, follow the necessary steps below for the next process."
