Hi All,

We are using QuickBooks Enterprise 20 version and we would like to integrate it with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online (Saas).
I found some solutions that works with QuickBooks Online, but I haven't found any that would work with QuickBooks Enterprise 20.

Thank you

Good morning, @damjan

I appreciate you coming to the Community with your question about syncing QuickBooks Desktop with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.  I've got the information you need to answer your question.

I can see how beneficial this would be for you and your business. However, the only way you can sync QuickBooks with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is by using the Online version of our product. Although this is the case, I'll send feedback to our Product Developers. They'll be able to consider this in one of the upcoming releases. They take the time to review each request and try to collaborate them in the next available update.

In the meantime, you can check out the QuickBooks Blog to keep up with what's new in the system.

I hope this answers your question. I value you and the success of your business. Should you need any further insight, feel free to ask. I'm only a comment away if you need me. Have a great day!

Hi,

I spoke with the IT manager at our subsidiary in USA, and he says, that they have some issues at importing a lot of payroll data into the QB Enterprise and that he is not willing to use any cloud based solution for payroll, and that the company policy is to have data stored in-house not in-cloud, so at the moment we will use the current QB Enterprise solution where we will integrate it with MS Dynamics 365BC (in-cloud), but we will not replicate any payroll data into the BC (in-cloud).
I still hope I will convince IT manager to go for the QB on-line solution. btw. Can we use privat cloud for QB on-line? Perhaps, I could convince him to use private cloud (this means that database is stored on our server, as current QB Enterprise database is)...

Thank you

I appreciate the update you've provided above about which QuickBooks software you prefer in handing your payroll data, @damjan. I'm here to share further details about this.

Currently, the QuickBooks Online (QBO) software uses its cloud-based solution in storing data (i.e., payroll). With this, using a private cloud (server) to store your database isn't an option.

When your IT manager considers the possibility to switch from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QBO, you can help them decide by providing some information on what to expect when doing so. Once they agreed, you can check out this article on how to import your QBDT company file to QBO: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, each version of QuickBooks is designed to address specific business needs. To give you an overview of each product, service, and version of QuickBooks, I'd recommend checking out this article: See which version of QuickBooks is right for you.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other concerns about handling your payroll data and company file in QuickBooks, I'm just around to help. Take care always.
