inventory transfert to projet

I have manage to setup inventory. 
is there a way to attribute inventory to a project without invoicing immediately. 
Example, we use 10 x item ABC for the project ZZZ
Would it be possible to transfer 10 item ABC to the project ZZZ without needing to creating a invoice
Then, at the end of the project, when it is time to invoice, you can track how much item ABC has been use and add it to the invoice easily. 

The same way billable hours work if link to a projet.

I'll ensure you can assign inventory items to a project without invoicing immediately.

 

In QuickBooks Online, if you transfer inventory items to a project, it needs to associate it with transactions. Since you don't want to attribute those items without invoicing them immediately, you can create an Estimate for recording purposes, but it won't affect the inventory quantity. Once ready to invoice it, you can convert an estimate into an invoice.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Sales, then select All Sales.
  2. Locate the estimate you want to convert.
  3. Check the status of the estimate under the customer’s name. You can only convert an estimate with an Accepted or Pending status.
  4. In the Action column, select Convert to Invoice.
  5. Make any updates to the invoice if needed.
  6. Then select Save.
