Do you know how you can see when a client viewed the invoice?
This client looked at it 13 times.
I am wondering if when we open the invoice does it also count as a view?
Or only when the client is looking?

I noticed a few years ago that it was counting each time WE would go in and look at the invoice.

Doesn't seem to have changed at all .

I'll shed some light on how the system would track viewed invoices within QuickBooks, @CharmCr.

The system keeps track of the number of times an invoice has been viewed by clients through interactions with the emailed transaction. However, if the client views it internally and not through email, it won't be counted.

In addition, viewing the emailed invoice multiple times will be counted as separate views, regardless of who did it. So, if users send themselves a copy of the same invoice each time they access it, the Activity status will automatically show as Viewed.

You can follow the steps below to check the transaction status:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. In the left corner of your screen, click the Client & Leads tab.
  3. Select the client invoice.
  4. Hit Viewed.
  5. Click the dropdown to review timestamps.

Moreover, if you want to enter client payments and personalize your sales forms, you can refer to the links below to get more tips:

Actually, @Dandie_A   I have NEVER sent myself an invoice.  It just has been counting our views, regardless. I can easily rack up 15 views, just myself, WITHOUT sending it to myself.
