Invoice automaticallyemailed to wrong customer

How does this happen? Invoice is generated automatically each month. I email the invoice to the customer for her to pay online.

She emailed me today saying she received the wrong invoice. 

The thing is, her invoice this month did not self-generate so there is no way I made the error. The email on the invoice that she received was correct for that customer, not for the customer that complained.

How can this possibly happen???

To assist you in resolving the issue with your invoices, I'd like to provide you with a few steps that can help. Let's review the template and ensure that it contains the correct email address.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Recurring transactions
  3. Hit New.
  4. Click on the dropdown arrow.
  5. Select Invoice.
  6. Fill out all information needed.
  7. Click save template.
