Invoice paid date is wrong

When I mark an invoice as paid on the app the paid date reflects the actual invoice creation date. Not the date it was paid.
this is wrong and useless if I want to see how long a client took to pay later.

Hi there, DAR.

Please note that we've received a similar issue about incorrect invoice paid date in QuickBooks Self-Employed app. I'll route you to the right support team to assist you further on this matter.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team as they're the best support group for such inquiries as they can request account information. This allows them to document your concern and see the number of affected users on the said issue. To do that, tap + button and select Ask QB Assistant.

In case you need guidelines on how QBSE helps you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage, and prepare your Schedule C tax form, you can read this article: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have additional concerns about invoices or any other QuickBooks concern, please let me know. I'm available 24/7 to support you. Have a great day.

What “+”button? The one in the app simply adds an invoice or some other function but not QB assistant.
I can access QB Assistant from my profile but in this case the assistant in completely useless.

Hi there, @Dar11_2. Let me assist you in performing some troubleshooting and get you over to the support to ensure we correct the paid date of your invoices.

There are times when the QuickBooks app data affects its performance. Resetting refreshes it into the default state. This process plays the same role as clearing the cache from your web browser.

To start, follow the steps below for an iOS:

  1. Go to Menu ☰ and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Tap Refresh Data.
  3. Click Refresh to confirm.

Otherwise, refer to this instruction for Android:

  1. Go to Menu ☰ then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

Once done, check the invoice payment dates. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the mobile app. It will help you get the most recent version of the application.

Furthermore, you're right that the button holds the features you can do within the app, such as Invoices. In this case, go back to the QB Assistant on your Profile, where you can enter the issue you encountered. If it's not working, consider logging in to a website via browsers on your device and contacting support from there by following the instructions in this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
