I admire you for sharing the details with us, @Alundo123

Let me help you figure out why it's not showing as income in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you send an invoice to your customer, this will not be posted as an income yet. Thus, it will show in the Accounts Receivable. Once your customer makes a payment, follow the steps below to record it.

Here's how:

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Receive payment.
  3. From the Customer dropdown, select the name of the customer.
  4. In the Payment method dropdown, select the payment method (credit card, debit, PayPal, Venmo, or ACH bank transfer).
  5. From the Deposit dropdown, click the account you put the payment into.
  6. In the Outstanding Transactions section, select the checkbox for the invoice you're recording the payment for.
  7. Enter the Reference no. and Memo if needed.
  8. Select Save and Close.

It will then show in your income account. To get in-depth information about invoice payment, you can direct to this article: Record customer payment in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, I've collected these articles for reference. These contain complete details on how to record a refund, void, and manage your invoice efficiently:

Let me know if you need additional information. You can always leave the details in your reply, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I'll also answer other QuickBooks concerns you may have.
