Question

IRS rejected my 1099s for 2023 but nothing has changed with company (name, tax ID) since 2022 and those 1099s were accepted last year. Any ideas?

It's nice to see you here in the Community posting your concern, @becca-at-beautiw.

I'll outline a couple of handy details to help you fix rejected 1099s.

Since none of the information you've mentioned has changed, but the forms were rejected, you can reach out to the IRS to check and verify what details they have in their records that causes this issue.

If verified that the details are incorrect, you may follow Steps 2-3 in this article: Fix rejected 1099 forms. It can guide you on how to void your 1099s, update the incorrect info, and then e-file again.

Furthermore, you'll want to print your 1099s in the future by checking out this guide: Print your 1099 forms.

I'll gladly help you if you have any other questions regarding payroll forms. You can post your reply below. Take care always.
