Is anyone else having an issue with filing 1099's electronically through Quickbooks? I keep getting an error message saying "Something went wrong. Please try later."

I can't seem to get past the "Review Recipients" stage to the "Preview Forms" stage without getting this error message.

To resolve this, let's open your QuickBooks account in a private window to rule out browser-related issues. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

If the error did not appear, return to your regular browser and clear your cache. Occasionally, the accumulated cache and cookies in the system can become outdated or corrupted, leading to unexpected behaviors. You can also switch to other installed supported browsers, which is a good alternative.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our payroll support. Our designated team possesses the necessary expertise to address your concerns thoroughly. 

 

Moreover, you can run a report to view the total payroll wages, taxes, deductions, and contributions.
