Question

Is anyone else having trouble with Editing more than one Bank Transaction...the panel to edit pops up, but no movements on the drop down...How did you resolve?

I downloaded the Amex charges, some don't follow the rule so I click on those and a panel pops up to assign a category...the dropdowns are not responding.

Hey there, @accounting468

Currently, there are no similar issues reported regarding editing bank transactions on the QuickBooks Community page. Let me offer some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the problem and categorize your transactions.

To begin, open your account in a private window. This will allow us to check if the issue is related to a cache problem. You can access this mode using the following shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. This will remove temporary files stored on your browser and free up space on your device. If the issue persists, consider using other supported browsers.

When you're done reviewing your downloaded transactions, you can proceed with reconciling your accounts to ensure your QuickBooks entries match your bank statements.

If you have more questions about categorizing transactions on the Banking page, feel free to ask here. I'm here to help you every step of the way.
