Is QuickBooks Desktop Pro going to Expire, and what is the Online Equivalent Version

It appears that the desktop version is going to be expired, but I'm unclear from the language I see.

Can someone please confirm?

 

Also, if I wanted to get an equivalent online version, what one would that be for a 2 user allowance?  

 

Can you who use desktop and online confirm weather the online is equivalent to the desktop?  I've heard in the past that the online version did not have the same ability as the desktop version.  Is that true?

 

Finally, would those using the online version say that they really like the online better.  

 

I have been using desktop for 20 years.  It's a very decent program, but riddled with errors that never get fixed.  I have a somewhat low opinion of these large software companies that keep charging higher and higher prices without ever dealing with bugs that have been around for 20 years.

If you are a veteran QB Desktop user, you should stick with it till the end. Unless you have other concerns. They will support QB Desktop 2021 until May 2024. But you can still purchase QB Desktop Pro Plus 2024 to upgrade your version or stick with QB Desktop 2021 with limited features.

Are you referring to QuickBooks Desktop 2021? If so, the software will be discontinued after May 31, 2024. It includes all 2021 versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, QuickBooks Desktop Premier, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions v21. 

 

Once suspended, you won't have access to live technical support if you run into problems or any of the other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop. It includes QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Discontinued versions won't receive the latest critical security patches and updates.
