Is there any system issue for e-filing 1099?

 I have been receiving the error message "Something went wrong. please try later" for a while when I try to efile 1099.

I understand the urgency of resolving this error when submitting the 1099 forms.

 

Currently, we have an ongoing issue with the error message you encountered. With that, I suggest reaching out to our phone support team so you'll be added as one of the affected users. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the ? Help icon.
  2. On the Search tab, click Contact Us.
  3. Select Ask about something else.
  4. You may type in Error when filing 1099 forms.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Choose either Chat with us or Schedule appointment.

I received the same message, then a message popped up that said, Way to go! We'll handle those 1099s from here. But, unfortunately my 1099s were not filed. (Although they were sure to charge me the full amount as if they processed!). I chatted with a rep this morning who said they were working on the problem. It's ridiculous we pay for this and they can't support their own product. I have 255 1099s to efile. This is not okay and extremely frustrating and unnerving. I sure hope they get this situation fixed very soon.
