Question

Is there now a different way to open a second tab in QBO? It used to be Ctrl+ click on menu item but that does not seem to work anymore?

I'm here to show you how to open a second tab on your browser when using QuickBooks Online, permassoc.

There are multiple ways to open another tab for QuickBooks Online without signing in again. Currently, using the Ctrl key and clicking on a menu item only works on the tabs. I'll leave a screenshot below of some of the items this method works on.

Alternatively, you can check out the following options:

  • Right-click menus in QuickBooks and choose Open link in new tab.
  • Duplicate the tab by right-clicking and selecting Duplicate.

Your browser will open a new tab automatically, allowing you to work on multiple pages simultaneously.

I'll also leave this article on generating reports to give you an overview of different aspects of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
