Is there way to export a sales order or an invoice

When my company asked Intuit sales if it was possible to export a sales order to an excel file we were told yes, but I cannot figure it out even though I have 27 years in the IT field.

To be clear, I do not need to export a sales order report.  I need to be able to export the sales order itself to an excel file.  

 

Is this possible, if not is there an app that will add this functionality?

Let me provide clarification about exporting sales orders and invoices into an Excel file, mikehuntsbear.

 

I can see how exporting specific transactions can benefit your business. However, the option to do so is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. That said, I recommend sending a product suggestion through the Feedback section. Your feedback directly goes to our product engineers who'll take note of the need for this functionality and consider adding it in future updates.

 

Here's how to do that:

 

  1. On the top menu, go to Help.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online, and then Product Suggestion.
  3. Enter your suggestions.
  4. Click Send Feedback.

 

Alternatively, you can consider using a third-party application that can help you with this task. While I can't suggest a specific one, you can check out the available supported apps here: QuickBooks Desktop Apps.

Thank you @AnneMariee  for the clear and concise answer. 

 

I do have another question when you have time.  Is there a way to show live inventory quantity in Qb Desktop?  Currently it shows quantity, and quantity on sales orders.  We use qb mostly for inventory and this is a vital need.  Thanks in advance and if i need to create a new post for this I will.
