Items not showing up when scanned with barcode in Quickbooks - was working previously

This has been a recent issue. Items were previously coming up when scanned, and not it does not. 

 

We scanned an item that has scanned properly and populated correctly in the past, but now we are getting this message.

 

"Quickbooks did not find '00892515177' in your list of products and services. Would you like it add it now? If not, go back and select an existing product or sevice." 

 

How do we fix? We it to scan properly.

We are committed to resolving this concern for you and your business as quickly as possible. The issue can occur due to various reasons. To address this, we will start by using a new scan profile to isolate the problem and determine if it's related to the scanner or the QuickBooks scan system. If the issue persists, proceed in changing user account settings in Windows to enhance security for all users. Here's how: 

 

  1. Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run window.
  2. Type Control Panel and select OK.
  3. Pick User Accounts and choose User Accounts in Classic View.
  4. Click Change user account control settings and move the slider. Switch to Never Notify and tap OK to turn UAC OFF. To Turn it on, switch to Always Notify and hit OK.

 

After making these changes, you can repair QuickBooks and reinstall using a clean install, then try scanning again.
