keeping 2021 quickbooks premier retail and using another payroll service

i want to keep my 2021 QB premier retail edition and not switch to subscription. i understand that my assisted payroll subscription will no longer be available. What other payroll software will work with my 2021 QB premiere retail, as far as importing payroll data to my QB.

I know very little about how payroll works, that is why i use the Assisted Payroll which does everything once i input everyone's salary and bonuses.  We only have 5 non revolving employees, all on salary, including 1 owner and 4 officers, so no workman's comp and direct deposits for everyone.

Before sharing information on how to get through this, we appreciate you providing a glimpse of your current situation inside QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). We understand you want to keep using the program to manage all sides of your business. Since it'll be obsolete after May 31, 2024, you can check the payroll standalone service in the Online version. It'll allow you to import or export your payroll data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) so you can continue working on payroll-related tasks. After May 2024, you can't integrate any add-ons with other QB Products or 3rd party apps.

You can keep using QB Desktop 2021 + a stand alone payroll app. You will register payroll expenses as JE in QB Desktop. You will also need a workaround to import bank transaction or need another option to use the bank feed feature.
