Question

Mates, I am trying to change the fonts on the checks that I print, but see nothing in this online mess that allows me to do that?

Hello there, tsr2.

Please know that when printing checks in QuickBooks Online, the font size and style in the product are set to default, and modifying them directly is currently unavailable. However, I can walk you through an alternative way to get this done, depending on your preference.

You can consider increasing the scale from the print settings if you want to make the font size more visible.

Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation bar, select Expenses.
  2. Click the Print Checks button in the upper-right corner.
  3. Choose a check you want to print.
  4. Click the printer icon beside the cogwheel icon.
  5. Choose More settings and go to the Scale section.
  6. Click the radio button that shows a number.
  7. Adjust the number ( you can adjust higher than 100).
  8. Make other necessary adjustments.
  9. Press Print.

Then, I suggest purchasing or using a pre-printed check so you can change the font style on the checks. You can click this article to see further details and how the pre-printed works in the system: Order checks, tax forms, and other supplies.

In case you need steps on how you can create a report of checks that haven't cleared yet on your end, you can read this article: Run a report of uncleared checks in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other concerns about printing checks in QuickBooks, don't hesitate to add them below. I'm still here to assist you further, tsr2. Have a great day, and stay safe.
