Ensuring you'll be able to change the amount of your memorized transactions is my priority, @zy2. Let me share some info on how you can perform the task.

In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you'll have to manually change the amount of a memorized transaction. Modifying the information as a group is unavailable. I'll guide you on how:

  1. In QBDT, go to the Lists menu.
  2. Next, choose Memorized Transactions List.
  3. From there, look for the group where the transactions are assigned.
  4. Double-click the transaction to open.
  5. Once opened, change the amount of the entry and select Memorized button.
  6. Then, choose Replace to confirm the changes and avoid double entry.

For reference, feel free to check this article: Create, edit, or delete memorized transactions.

That's it you'll now be able to change the amount of your memorized transaction.

If you have additional questions about the process above, don't hesitate to post a reply below. I appreciate any updates about this. Have a good one.

Divina,

Thanks for the reply

I have 2 groups with about 100 Memorized transaction in each group.

So i have to double click the transaction - which takes me to the enter statements screen.

Edit the transaction there, memorize / replace it.

Then either delete the transaction just entered or leave it there as a new charge?

There is no better way than doing this 200 times?

Thanks

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread to add some clarification while working with memorized transactions, zy2. I'll be providing extra details on how changing details on the said entries works. Then, ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.

When you update some details in your memorize entries, you'll have to leave it as a new charge and save the changes.

On the other hand, there's no current option to edit or adjust the information as a group/bulk. You'll have to manually perform the process to make sure you're updating the entry accurately.

For now, I encourage you to submit feedback to our engineer to request an option to modify memorized entries as a group This way, they'll be able to review it and determine features to be added in the future. This can be done directly through your account by clicking the Help icon at the top and choose Send Feedback Online.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to view extra details on how to manage the memorized transaction and how it works in the QuickBooks program: Create, edit, or delete memorized transactions.

I'll be around to help if you have any other questions about this concern or other related concerns about your entries. Just let me know by leaving a comment below, zy2. Have a nice day ahead!
