Migrating to Online when I already have Online Payroll

Is it possible to migrate QB Desktop to QB Online using the user ID of an Online Payroll that has been used for years?

Being able to migrate QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online using the user ID of an Online Payroll utilized for years would be helpful. It allows you to track conveniently and get tasks done right away. Rest assured that I'll share ways to confirm if it's possible.

 

The option to move payroll data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. What you can do is enter past year-to-date payroll info for each employee. Once you finish setting up your payroll, you can start creating paychecks. You'll want to consider using a third-party app to do so: https://desktop.apps.com/home

 

Before consolidating your login, reach out to our Support Team to verify eligibility. To proceed, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon and choose Search.
  2. Click the Contact Us button and enter your concern.
  3. Press Continue.
