Migration not working - message about software updating

This isn't the kind of service we'd want you to experience, @Lorna9. I can see how important it is for your business to migrate these files into QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll help you with the process. 

It seems that the release version you're referring to is outdated. Consider updating QBDT 2021 R4 to R10, R11, or R12 release versions to migrate your data seamlessly from QBDT to QBO. In addition, the automatic update you're referring to earlier won't take effect if you haven't restarted the computer after getting the QuickBooks updates. If you turned off the computer after getting the version release patches, the features might not get added to the system. On the other hand, you can follow these steps to update the software manually:

1. Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Select Update Now, then choose to Get Updates.
3. When the update finishes, close and reopen QuickBooks.
4. When asked to install the update, select Yes.
5. When the installation finishes, follow the on-screen instructions. 

Once done, you can redo the migrating process and make sure the company file isn’t too big to export. If the file exceeds the target limit (750,000), it can't be converted to QBO.
