My bank account wasn't connected for over 6 months but is now. How can I retrieve the missing data?  I am connected now but am missing over 6 months worth of data.  I know I can manually add it but that will be very time consuming.  Any help is appreciated.

There are several ways you can recover your missing data in QuickBooks Online (QBO), DNW812. Let's explore these options to help you effectively restore your financial records.

When you connect your bank account, QBO typically downloads transactions from the last 90 days to 24 months, depending on your financial institution (FI).

To ensure that all your bank transactions are accurately imported and synced with your QBO account. You can manually update the bank. This prompts QBO to redownload or sync data from your bank that was not part of the initial download when you added your bank.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click Update in the right-hand corner.

However, if you still don't see the transactions, you can download them directly from the bank and manually upload them in QBO. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the onscreen instructions.
  2. After that, download and save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your computer's desktop.
  3. Select the QBO data Format or save the transactions in CSV format and manually upload them in QBO.
