It's nice to have you here, @usermctchat,

I want to get this sorted out, but I want to be clear about the problem. When you say check and checks stubs, are they the regular ones or are you referring to an employees paycheck. Your confirmation will help me provide the most accurate resolution for you.

To print regular paper checks without the company name and address, you can manually remove it manually on the transaction. To do that, open the check, then backspace the information in the Mailing address section, then press Print check.

While waiting for your confirmation, see the following articles about printing checks in QBO:

Kindly click the Reply button below for the additional details. I'll be on a look out for your response. Have a nice day!

I have preprinted checks and the company name and address is printing over the information printed on the check.  Can you instruct me as to how to fix this as I am in the process of paying payroll?

July 1, 2021

Hi there, @Hanigan.

Let me help you print your checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

An alignment issue might be the cause why the company name and address are printing over the information on the check.

If your paychecks are not centered on the page, or if they are in alignment but still look "off", you may be able to achieve a better fit by changing the page scaling. After selecting Print, select Shrink to Printable Area from the Page Scaling drop-down list.

If you're getting a similar result, try clearing the cookies and temporary internet files in your browser. Doing this can help fix some minor printing issues in QuickBooks.

If the persists, I'd recommend updating, repairing, or reinstalling your Adobe Reader. You can also run a test sequence to help diagnose a wide range of PDF printing issues in Windows and fix it.

Let me know how it goes by adding a comment down below. I'm always here to provide further help.

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help!

I have purchased pre-printed checks through Intuit. I need to remove the company name and address to NOT print when I print a check.

Can someone please tell me how to get Quickbooks DESKTOP to not print the top left corner?

July 29, 2022

Let me help you print the check you need in QuickBooks Desktop, Meagcooper.

When printing the check, we can unmark the box for the Print company name and address option. Let me show you how:

  1. Click the File menu, and then choose Printer Setup.
  2. Select Check/Paycheck from the Form drop-down.
  3. Go to the Settings tab, and then choose your desired Printer name and Printer type.
  4. Select the Check Style you want.
  5. Uncheck the Print company name and address checkbox.
  6. You can also adjust the alignments of your preprinted checks to make you have the right margins or spacing.
  7. Press OK when you're ready.

Since you purchase the pre-printed check, the option to not print the top left corner is unavailable. In case you're unable to print your forms in the future, you can refer to this handy article to resolve it: Troubleshoot Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

Drop me a message below if you have more printing concerns or any QuickBooks-related. I've got your back always. Take care!

Re: My checks have the name of my company already printed, how do I turn this feature off so I don't print my company name on the checks?

Hi Lori A-1 Land Care,

Welcome, and thank you for joining the thread about stopping QuickBooks to print your company information on checks. Good news for you because we can achieve this, and I’m happy to show you how.

There’s a payroll setting for printing checks that let you choose a compatible check style. The choices are voucher and standard, and both of them won’t include your business details.

To change your setup:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Payroll settings under SETTINGS.
  3. Go to the Printing section and click the pencil icon.
  4. Select the Paychecks on QuickBooks-compatible check paper radio button.
  5. Choose between 1 pay stub (voucher) or 2 pay stubs (standard).
  6. Click Align check to adjust the alignment. More information in this article: Fix print alignment for paychecks.
  7. Click Save.

Here's a comparison between printing with the default (plain paper) and compatible check styles.

Please don't hesitate to reach back to us if you need more assistance with printing checks. We're just right here to continue helping you. Take care!

How do I correct this problem?

January 24, 2024

Thank you for joining this thread, fxbp489H.

I am here to provide support and answer any questions you may have about QuickBooks. To ensure that I can offer an accurate resolution, I kindly ask for more details regarding the specific issue you're currently facing.

To ensure I'm on the same page, are you indicating that the company name and address appear twice on your printed checks or payroll checks? Furthermore, are you facing any challenges with the alignment of the printed details on your checks?

Meanwhile, I'd like to share some troubleshooting steps to resolve some of the issues mentioned above. For regular checks, manually remove the duplicated company and address information from the entries.

Here's how:

  1. Open the check and backspace the information in the Mailing address section.
  2. Press the Print check button.

If you're facing misalignment with your paychecks, it's recommended to utilize QuickBooks-compatible checks. This will guarantee the entries are accurately aligned when you print or reprint them. For further assistance in troubleshooting alignment problems, check out the following resources: Fix print alignment for paychecks.

In the event that you require further assistance with printing checks or paychecks, or if you're  encountering any printing issues, I suggest reviewing the articles below for comprehensive details:
