Hello there, lisa-royalac-net.

When users encounter runtime errors while working in QuickBooks Online, they can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. It could be that the accumulated cache is the root cause of the error. To rule this out, have your employee invite the user using a private or incognito window. Check out the shortcut keys below:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, press Command + Shift + N.

If the error is now gone, go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache to delete the stored junk files. You can switch to other supported browsers to further isolate the issue.

I'm also adding this article to help manage user permissions and limit access to specific tasks: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

I'm just a post away if you have any other concerns. Have a great day ahead.

Hello,

We are getting the same message. We tried using a new browser and clearing all history and cache and it did not fix the problem.

Any thing else we can try?

We appreciate you reaching out with your concern, Travis78. Let me ensure inviting your new employee would be made possible without experiencing any errors.

Since troubleshooting the web browsers doesn't apply to rectify this issue, we can consider resending the invitation using another email utilized by that specific employee and ensure this email hasn't been applied to any QuickBooks products. Doing so will help us identify the root cause of this error.

If this unusual behavior persists, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the necessary tools to review your account in a secure environment and further investigate this error. Also, they can provide additional assistance to get this resolved.

Here's how to reach them out:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Click on the Search tab and select Contact Us.
  3. Enter the description of your concern. Then, click Let’s Talk.
  4. Choose either Start a chat or Get a Callback.

Furthermore, you can manage user permissions to your account to limit them in accessing specific QuickBooks tasks.

Please keep us posted if you have additional queries managing your employees. We'll always be around whenever you need further assistance. Keep safe!
