I know some information regarding the balance sheet in QuickBooks Online (QBO), licensedcpa.

When pulling up the report in QBO, please know that the placement of the information is working as designed. The left side of the balance sheet shows the accounts in your company file, while the right side will indicate the numbers. Thus, changing the balance sheet numbers and putting it in the center is unavailable.

Alternatively, we can export your balance sheet report so you can view and edit your data using Excel. Kindly follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Report menu, click Balance Sheet if it's in your Favorites, or search it from the Find report by name field.
  2. Click the Export icon located right beside the Print icon.
  3. You can choose Export to Excel. You can also choose to Export to PDF if you want to view it in PDF style.
  4. Save the file somewhere you can easily find. You can rename your file, then click Save.
  5. Once you open the report in Excel, you can click Enable Editing to view the full report.

To learn more about exporting your report, kindly refer to this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

If your balance sheet does not show the correct balance, kindly refer to this material: Run a Balance Sheet report in QuickBooks Online.
