Question

My side navigation bar is empty, is this normal?

I'm new to quick books, I am a student and has free access. I created an account and after I input my license key I notice my left navigation bar is empty which is different from what my instructor was discussing.

I'm here to help you check ways to find the navigation menu in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mvtrinidad1981-g. 

 

If what you meant is the same as shown in the screenshot below, then all we need to do is click this Menu bar (☰) pointed in the arrow. By doing this, it will show the navigation menu on the left panel.

 

 

However, if you're seeing it as blank, I recommend logging in to a private window to check if it is a browser-related issue. Using an incognito will prevent your browsing history from being saved. 

 

You can use either of these shortcut keys:

 

  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

 

If it works fine from there, switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If the issue persists, you can use other supported browsers to narrow down the cause.
