My balances match my statement, but for some reason im still showing a difference instead of zero. Statement beginning balance, ending balance, charges and payments all match in quickbooks and my statement, but quickbooks still says theres a difference.

You may be still seeing a difference if you have an incorrect initial opening balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that wasn't corrected when the account was first set up, Samantha.

A previously reconciled transaction may have been modified, leading to a discrepancy, even if the overall balances match.

To fix this, check your opening balance. Verify that you entered the correct amounts. You can compare these numbers with your actual bank statement. For more details you can follow steps 1, and 2 in this article: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can match and categorize all of your downloaded transactions before you start reconciling.

Once you have successfully reconciled your account and everything is in order, you can generate and export a reconciliation report in QBO.

If you have additional questions about the statement beginning balance, your account, or any other QBO-related concerns, please feel free to leave your reply below.

@SamanthaThrashersbs

Does your bank statement show your beginning balance + deposits - withdrawals = ending balance?  Not all do.  If not, then how can you be sure the totals on the statement match those in QuickBooks?

If it does, please post screenshots of your QB reconcile screen and just that part of your bank statement (with all personal info removed, of course).  I've never seen a math error in QB when reconciling.
