I accidentally named a P & L Report with the wrong year. How can I change the name? This is for Quickbooks Pro 2016

I can see that you'd like to change the name of a Profit and Loss (P&L) report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), VJ16. I'm here to help you. 

 

You can edit the name of the report that appears on your list or it is categorized by going to the Memorized Report List. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu, select Memorized Reports, and then Memorized Report List.
  2. Right-click the report and choose Edit Memorized Report.
  3. Edit the name of the Report with the correct year.
  4. Once done, click OK.

That didn't work quite the way you said, but it was enough to help me figure out what to do!  I just saw that you replied to me.  I hadn't really expected a response, so I didn't even check this until today!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

 

Is there a better way to get help, rather than to bother you?  I used to be able to access a whole list of topics within the app itself, and most of the time that was sufficient to figure out my problem.  But that option apparently no longer exists.  Or does it?
