Name invoice per month. If you got a number of invoices per month you must remember numbers too know where starts january and february ends. So if you scroll down invoices or all sales you can see  where is what

To help you modify the invoices according to the details you need, you'll want to edit your Invoice number according to month. You can refer to the screenshot below for your reference: 

 

 

Alternatively, we can utilize the Custom Fields feature if you're using the Advanced version of QuickBooks Online. To create one, I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Settings menu and select Custom fields.
  2. Click the Add Custom field. If you've already created a field, you'll see Add field instead.
  3. Give your custom field a name.
  4. Select the type of data that will go in your custom field: Text and numberNumber onlyDate, or Dropdown list.
  5. Choose the category the custom field belongs to: CustomerTransaction, or Vendor.
  6. Put a checkmark on the box for the forms you want the custom field to appear.
  7. If you want customers or vendors to see the field on a form (such as invoices, estimates, or purchase orders), select Print on form. A maximum of 3 custom fields may have Print on form turned on for any single form type (such as Sales Receipt or Invoice).
  8. Once done, tick Save.
