Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, jm.

I can help provide information on how you can correct your 1099s in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll.

It is only possible to void 1099 forms in QuickBooks Online if they have been rejected by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The void option will be available for these rejected forms. Here's how you can check the status of the 1099s:

  1. In your QBO account, go to Taxes.
  2. Select 1099 filings.
  3. Check the Status of your 1099 forms and see if they're marked as Rejected.
  4. If they're marked as rejected, you can find the alert on the page that explains why the IRS declined your 1099 forms.
  5. From the 1099 filings tab, select Void forms.

However, if you want to correct 1099 forms the IRS has accepted, please know that the steps for correcting such forms in QBO are yet to be updated. You can check out at a later date for the process in this link: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks. If you need to make 1099 corrections now, I recommend contacting IRS Support about the filed 1099s.

When you're ready to close your previous fiscal year and prepare for the new one, let me add this article as a reference: Year-end guide for QuickBooks Online.

If you have further questions about correcting 1099s in QBO, we'll be here to assist. We're committed to offering ongoing support. Take care.
