New Quickbooks Online changes that nobody wanted
I think the writing is on the wall that QuickBooks is not going to fix the sales tax issue we are all experiencing in the new update with "Other Templates". Its been 27 days since I reported these problems. No fix and no update. Plus support tells me the mandate is to force everybody to the new Modern template It willbe gone in 3 months. So they will give us a bug in "Other Template" that will leave us with no choice but to change. So I tried to use the new and improved Quickbooks online.They changed Quickbooks online a lot.
Most of this is in regards to making quotes/invoices/documents. You know customer facing items. The things that are the most important from a branding and appearance point of view.
- Can not turn off date column - We do not do service work and that column is just empty - why would you change this and remove our option to tune this off?
- Can not turn off company name and address on template -We have address in logo since we have multiple locations and do not want this on our template- Why would you change this we have been able to do this for as long as I have used QuickBooks.
- Can not turn off skus - there a button for it but it does not work - Service customers do not use skus - Why would remove the ability to turn off skus?
- Can not turn off product/service column -We do not use this - this is an internal number for us - Why would you change this we have been able to turn this column on and off for as long as I have used QuickBooks.
- Can not change field titles on documents - They are all using sentence case instead of heading case and we can not change these, We prefer full caps. Why would you remove ability to change field titles?
- Page break - Removed footer - Why would you remove footer from the documents? We had a footer on documents for as long as I have used QuickBooks?
- Removed page number from documents - Why would you remove page number from documents? We had a footer on documents for as long as I have used QuickBooks?
- The new Modern template does not have the ability to turn off custom fields for a specific document. You were able to have the custom field on an invoice but not on an estimate before Why would you change this?
- The Modern template only allows you to change text color. The previous template customizer you can change the way the template looks. Why would you change this? You have always been able to change your templates.
- The Modern template only has one layout. You can not change layout or customize layout. In the previous QuickBooks Online you were able to have multiple templates and there was multiple default templates already made by QuickBooks. Why would you change this?
Did you poll the customers and ask them if they wanted all these changes?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off the date column or not?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off Product/service column or not?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off the company address from the template?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted a footer on documents?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted page numbers on multiple page documents?
Did you ask them if they preferred only 1 default template with no customization?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the custom fields to be optional on documents?
