Question

Numbers of digit after decimal point not aligned with others

Quickbooks currency conversion does not seems to align with others. When we divide 1/132.80 in others it will be 0.00753012 but quickbooks using 0.0075301 (stripping eighth digit - 2 in this case). Is anyone have any workaround on this issue? We could not reconcile the account with bank due to this issue.

I appreciate you sharing your concern in the Community, @min_nepal.

I'll share information on how you can overcome reconciliation discrepancies to ensure your transactions match your statements.

In QuickBooks Online, you can create an adjusting entry if there's a small amount left to help you finish the reconciliation process. This will force your accounts to balance. If the difference is negative, an expense transaction will take place. Otherwise, it will generate an income transaction.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Reconcile.
  2. Choose an account and fill in all the necessary details.
  3. Click on Start reconciling, then review the transactions carefully.
  4. From the dropdown button, click on Finish now.
  5. Click on Add adjustment and finish when you receive a message explaining that your account isn't balanced.

In addition, you can always locate your previously reconciled adjustments if you want to review or update any changes.

Meanwhile, if there are more discrepancies, I recommend consulting your accountant for further guidance to keep your data accurate. You can look for one here: Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
