Old phone number update?

Hello, @jeffkindelspire-.

Thank you for bringing your concern about updating your phone number in QuickBooks Online(QBO) to our attention. Let me provide assistance to help you complete the process quickly.

If your old phone number still appears for text verification in QuickBooks Essentials even though your new number is in your profile, I suggest reviewing and updating your contact info in your Intuit account and QuickBooks Payment account:

1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
2. Go to the Sign-in & security section.
3. Review your phone number and update it if necessary.

Next, here's how to update your Merchant Center's contact info:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Payments account.
2. Select Account, then Account Profile.
3. Go to Account Holder/Business Information, then select Edit.
4. Change your business info as you need to, then select Submit.

If you need further assistance, you can Contact Payments Support for help with updating your phone number or any other issues you may be experiencing.

Additionally, here's an article for future reference: Change your email, user ID, or password for QuickBooks Online and Self-Employed. It helps learn about updating accounts from Intuit Manager and recovering user ID or password.

Kindly let me know if your previous phone number is no longer valid for text verification. Additionally, if you have any follow-up questions, feel free to ask me, and I will be happy to assist you.
