Open Company Selection Not Saving Companies

I have no idea why this is happening. It also happened in 2022 and now that I've upgraded, I thought the problem would be fixed. On Friday I worked on about 6 companies. Now only 2 are showing. I have my saves up to 20. I have no idea why this is happening and with 2022 I was unable to fix the issue. This means that every time I need to open a file, I have to keep saving it as a new name literally every time. Does anyone know why it does this? Or have any solutions?

Welcome to the Community! Let's work together to get this problem handled. 

 

First, let's have you suppress QuickBooks: 

 

  1. Press and hold the Ctrl key, then double-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon. 
  2. Important: Don't release the Ctrl key until you see the No Company Open window, QuickBooks freezes, or gives you an error.
  3. Select a company file. then choose Open.
