Hello there, kgoltare. While QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) does not currently offer a built-in Order Acknowledgement feature, I can guide you through the workaround of creating a separate template that functions as an Order Acknowledgement using an estimate template.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Lists and select Templates.
  2. From the Templates dropdown, click New.
  3. Select the Estimate radio button and then click OK.
  4. Click the Additional Customization button and select the Header tab.
  5. Change the Title from "Estimate" to "Order Acknowledgement" and make any other necessary adjustments.
  6. Once you have finished customizing, click OK.
  7. To rename the template, click on Manage Templates.
  8. In the PREVIEW section, update the Template Name.
  9. Click OK once all changes are completed.

For further guidance, please refer to this article that offers more details: Use and customize form templates.

Now, you can utilize this newly customized template when creating estimates to serve as Order Acknowledgements for your customers.
