If I begin using a Passkey to sign into a bank account that is connected to and syncing with QBO, will QBO still be able to connect and retrieve transactions?

It's great to see you back on the platform, @jeffc2. Let me provide some info about Passkeys and Web Connect.

For new banking connections that use passkeys, the Internet Data Exchange (IDX), doesn't support passkey authentication yet. Our widgets, hosted on the Intuit domain, require hosting on the bank's domain for passkey detection. Most banks don't support this feature, so
you’ll need to keep using your usual credentials. However, this doesn't affect the validity of those credentials; our scripts will continue to run and process transactions as normal.

 

If your passkey is on the bank’s domain, reconnect your online banking feeds to secure the connection. To avoid service interruptions and issues with transaction flows in QBO, please re-authenticate using your Passkey security.

 

Before you disconnect your bank account from QBO, it's important to match or categorize all pending transactions. This step is essential to prevent any discrepancies or missing entries in your financial records when you establish a new secure connection.
