Pay Bills defaults to online bill payment.

I recently upgraded to Desktop 2024 and whenever I open Pay Bills, the default payment method is "Schedule Online Payment". How do I switch to Check as default?

You have the option to modify the vendor's payment method and adjust their payment mode on the Review and Confirm screen, jlmonge. Let me walk you through the steps.

 

To modify the payment method, simply access the Review and Confirm screen. To ensure smooth processing of upcoming bill payments, follow these steps:

 

  1. Choose the bill you wish to pay from the Pay Bills screen.
  2. Click the Schedule Online Payment.
  3. Select the bank account, credit, or debit card you wish to use.
  4. Pick a scheduled date.
  5. Review and confirm the payment. Then edit the payment method to check.
