Pay credit card balance directly from quickbooks online

Hello,,,

Can anyone teach me on how to pay credit card balance directly from the Checking account?

Do I initiate the transfer from Checking account to credit card account, and record it to pay down credit card later?

I want the payment as EFT, not by check.

Allow me to share some information about paying credit card balances using QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

The option to pay credit card balances directly from (QBO) isn't unavailable. However, you can pay outside and record them in QBO.

Thanks for responding.  

How about if I transfer the fund from my Checking to Credit card account and record it as record as credit card payment?  

Will my bank record this online transfer as payment to credit card?

Let me help you identify if the payment will show as Transfer, joseph wib.

 

When the bank accounts you use to pay the credit card expense are connected to Online banking, add the transactions by transferring the record. Let me show you how.

 

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then Expenses.
  2. Choose the account you need to transfer the payment from.
  3. Select the transaction, then choose the Pay down credit card radio button.
  4. From the Transfer account ▼ drop-down menu and select the account you want to send the transaction to.
  5. Hit Confirm.
  6. Go to the Recognized tab and locate the transaction.
  7. Under the Action column, select Match.
  8. Once done, select the Go to bank register link.
  9. From there, check the Ref No. Type column. You'll identify the payment type.
