How do I edit an existing note on a customer?

Hey there, cfoland.

 

Thanks for turning to the Community for support. I'm happy to provide some info about adding and editing pinned customer notes in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

To add a note to a customer in QuickBooks Desktop, you can do the following:
1. Go to Customers & leads.
2. Choose Customers.
3. Select the customer from the list.
4. Click Edit.
5. Select the Notes tab.
6. Add the information in the field.
7. Select Save.

 

Additionally, to add to or edit a pinned note to a customer in QuickBooks Desktop:

 

1. Navigate to the Customers list.

2. Select the customer you want to edit.

3. Click Edit and access the Notes tab where you can add or modify your note and save the changes; this allows you to attach important information directly to the customer profile.
