Preparing a new customer's invoice

I entered a new customer and sent him an invoice, but his name was not in on the invoice at all -- only his address was in the "Bill to" box. I only realized this after I had sent him the invoice. That makes me look foolish. His name is no where on the invoice. My question is, WHY WAS HIS NAME NOT ON THE INVOICE IN THE "BILL TO" BOX above the address??

Hello there, @glassmanhero. We want you to have a better experience than this.

We can perform basic troubleshooting steps for this unusual behavior to see if this is a browser issue. Sometimes, your search engine's cache and cookies become corrupted, causing problems when accessing websites or opening files.

To start, open QuickBooks Online in an incognito window to avoid using your regular browser's history. Then, attempt to create an invoice and check if the customer's name appears in the Bill to field.

Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
  • Control + Option +P if you're using Safari.
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Microsoft Edge.

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with clearing the stocked cache and cookies causing the issues.

Once you've resolved the issue and received payment from your customer, you can record it in QBO.

Return to this thread if you have further questions on managing your invoices. I'll be here to give a helping hand.
