I am new to quickbooks online and imported my desktop data.  Getting ready to give up on online as I just can't seem to find where we can create price lists and assign the list to customers.

I am using Quickbooks simple start.

Please tell me this simple feature exists :( in this option.

It's good to hear from you today, audreyfonseca. I'd like to provide some information regarding the price list feature in QuickBooks Online.

Creating Price Lists and assigning them to your customers is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online Simple Start. This feature is only available in the Plus version of QuickBooks.

To help narrow down the best plan for your business and to make sure you make the right choice, check out the following comparison link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/.

You might consider upgrading your plan so you can start creating and assigning the lists to your customers. Here's how to change your subscription:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription in the left panel.
  3. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade your plan.
  4. Choose a plan and select Choose plan.
  5. Hit Get started.

Here's a brief video to serve as your visual guide:

Once you're upgraded, you can go through this article to know more about the Price Rules feature in QuickBooks Online: Set price rules in QuickBooks Online. This will provide you steps on how to turn this on as well as creating and assigning it to your customers.

Additionally, you can always visit our Help Articles page for QuickBooks Online in case you need some reference for your future tasks.

Kindly update me on how things go by adding another comment here. I want to make sure you're all set or if you have follow-up questions about QuickBooks, please let me know. I'm here if you need further guidance. Have a great day!

@audreyfonseca

Are you running a wholesale company and wish to maange multiple pricelists for your resellers? You may need an additional app to do so.

So I'm an electrical contractor and I needed updated material price list I found a company called accupricelists.com they will have documents that you can import into QuickBooks with the top 1200 items electricians use from what I was told they are beta testing auto sync with QuickBooks Online... i hope soon because qb only allow 200 items to import at a time. This website's awesome because I can custom the markup and tax tailored to my business. Supposedly they're going to have drywall Lumber and Plumbing soon.
