Hello, I am an unemployed wife and mother looking for a career pathway. I'm considering whether taking this class would aid in my job search. It has been over two months, and I have not received any callbacks or interviews. I need a change of tactics. Please any help will be greatly appreciated.

The economy is really bad right now and I have lost quite a few clients because bookkeeping and office help is the first thing that a company cuts.  I wouldn't give up, word of mouth and referrals is the best way, bookkeeping agencies are difficult to work with but worth a try to get experience, most don't let you have any contact with the client and give you no notes from the meetings so I personally dislike bookkeeping agencies.  End of year tax prep is a good area to become more familiar with. 

 

QuickBooks standard certification is helpful but the QuickBooks advanced is probably the most beneficial.
